ITALIAN 141 (LEVEL 1) 2014 Course Title: Italian 141 (Elementary Italian I) DMACC Credit available: 4 semester hours Schools where the course is offered: Central Academy Elementary Italian 1 Course Description This course is designed to develop the four basic language skills using a hands-on interactive approach. It uses a variety of teaching methods including TPRS, games, videos, and a variety of cooperative learning activities. Culture activities introduced in this course include art, food, music, understanding what is espresso, cappuccino, caffelatte or macchiato caffè, and celebrating other seasonal Italian festivities. Four hours of DMACC credit is also available for those who successfully complete the school year.
