The first half of 2015 is marked by the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU. It is not only an important event demanding great responsibility, but also an opportunity to implement creative and thought-provoking ideas on issues collectively important to the governments, general public and each individual in the EU member states.
Latvia as an EU member state and internationally recognized as an efficient transportation hub in the
Baltic Sea Region is highly interested to promote an exchange of views on how India and Latvia might create a network of cooperation in different academic, research and business aspects in the future.
Latvia stresses the importance of discussing such issues as Ayurveda and modern science, biology and environment, climate changes, society, traditions, religion, education, pharmacology, arts, business environment and tourism, opportunities for the development of the transport and logistic linkages between
Europe and Asia.
