The CWU Foundation Small Grants Program is now open for applications. This year there is $20,000.00
available to students, staff, faculty and administrators.
Proposals that closely align with the following are most competitive:

work.
The benefits of the proposed work may be measured by how CWU and student needs are met.
The image of CWU is positively promoted.
Demonstrated impacts in the areas of academics, student development, technology, diversity,
interdisciplinary studies and/or community impact.
Proposed work articulates clearly how it aligns with the CWU Strategic Plan.
Other sources of funding are unavailable or the proposed work may be completed with one-time funding.
In addition to the Small Grants program there is The American Association of University Professors Grant
available to support faculty travel. The University Professors Grant has a total of $600.00 available for an
award based on the following criteria:

scholarly papers.

Applications for the American Association of University Professors Grant are to be completed on the attached
worksheets also.
Projects receiving partial funding from other sources are encouraged. However, grants should not duplicate or
replace state funds. Although funds are not granted for faculty or employee stipends or wages, grant funds may
be used to pay for student or temporary assistance in developing the program or project
Proposals must be three pages or less, consisting of a one-page project summary (see proposal summary form
for details), a completed project budget form and the proposal summary form with the required signatures of the
