the PAC. Pictures will start at 2:30 p.m. and the program starts at 3:30 p.m. We are working very hard to make this a more
than casual event to embrace this special time between the senior and the parents / guardians. Students and parents should
dress in “tea” attire. Seniors will be showcased. Only parents or guardians are invited as we do not have enough room to
include siblings. Sponsored by the Senior Class.
REGULAR SCHOOL DAY/CHECK-OUT/SENIOR MEETING - JUNE 9
Seniors will attend all periods on June 9th. It is a regular scheduled day, periods 1 – 6. During this time students will check
out with their teachers. Check out includes returning textbooks, library books, clearing all lockers and returning locks, and
paying fines. There will be a senior meeting and time to pay fines at the end of 6 th period. Students can take care of their
fines starting TODAY. The Athletic / Activities Office hours are 7:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Fines can be paid before school,
during lunch and after school. You will be given a check-out sheet which must be signed by each teacher, the library, food
service, the attendance and athletic offices, which indicates you have cleared all responsibilities and obligations. If you are
earning any credits outside the regular school day, these should be indicated on the bottom of this form and your progress
appropriately documented. Your participation in Graduation is determined from information on this sheet.
Running Start students will receive college check-out forms from the BEHS counseling office during the week of May 12th
for classes required for graduation. You are responsible for having each of your college instructor’s sign and indicate
“passing” or “not passing” the class. Running Start students must return their college check-out sheets to their high school
counselor by Friday, June 6th. Also, Running Start students must do a high school check out process. The check-out sheets
are to be turned in to Counseling Office, and all fines paid to Mrs. Drye in the Athletic/Activities Office before June 10th in

Graduation is a serious ceremony that is intended for students, staff, parents, families and community members to send our
graduating seniors off to the start of their adult lives. Many students will be recognized for their accomplishments. It is
expected that the graduating seniors will show their respect to their fellow students, staff and community members as they
speak, perform and are being recognized. Cell phones, other electronic devices, or items that might be disruptive and/or
disrespectful to the ceremony and its participants are not allowed. Please encourage appropriate behavior.

you there. Appropriate dress for an awards/recognition ceremony is appreciated. Seniors are expected to wear their
graduation gowns (no hats, tassels or sashes).
DIPLOMA DISBURSEMENT - JUNE 18th

7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18th. Some students will not receive a diploma at that time. This would be a
result of a senior who has completed coursework from spring quarter correspondence courses or Running Start classes. The
official grades for these courses will not be posted until the end of June. We do not mail diplomas. It is your responsibility
to pick it up (immediate family members are allowed to pick up as well).
SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
Scholarship applications have been distributed as they become available. These awards are listed in the graduation program.
Not all organizations notify the school of their scholarships and/or awards. In order to have each Senior recognized
accurately, please see that Mrs. Murdock in the Counseling office is notified of an award/scholarship as soon as you are
informed. Those receiving an award should also take a moment to write a brief "thank you" to the organization that honored
them.
PICTURES AT GRADUATION
O’Connor Photography will be taking pictures of each Senior as they receive their diploma. Proofs will be mailed to your
home shortly after graduation.
