PROM INFORMATION: “MASQUERADE”
1.
Prom is Saturday, May 9, from 8:00 – 11:00 pm at Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro. Juniors and Seniors, as well as their dates, are invited to attend. You and your date must pay all outstanding fines before you can purchase your prom ticket. Please see Mrs. Coffey if you have any fines.
2.
Outside date signup sheets are in the office. If your date does not attend Stuarts Draft High School, you must fill out an outside date form and return it to the office no later than Tuesday, May 5, 2015. JUST A REMINDER: NO ONE
OVER THE AGE OF 20 MAY ATTEND THE PROM, AS WELL AS NO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS .

Juniors, Seniors, and their dates.....Be sure to attend the After Prom Party from 11 pm - 3:30 am. Lots of fun games, competitions, prizes, food, and cash awards will be given away!
The following tournaments will be offered.... Corn Hole, Volleyball, and a 3 - Point Shootout. You can begin
signing up these competitions on April 27th in the office. Juniors and seniors are welcomed, even if you
don't attend the Prom .

Prom Tickets will go on sale starting Monday, May 4 in the mornings at 7:50 in front of the office and then again at all 3 lunches in the cafeteria. Seniors are $10 each, all others are $20. All fees and fins must be paid before you can purchase a ticket.
STUDENTS:
1. There will be NO CHARGING allowed in the cafeteria and all accounts must be paid in full by May 1.

Summer School Information is now available. Summer school will be at Stewart Middle School from June 10-30 this year. Please see the counseling office for a brochure and ask your counselor for more information.

SOPHOMORES: Your class rings will be delivered to you TODAY, April 30. You will receive these in the
Library during Cougar Return. If you have a balance due, you may pay it at that time.

Current NHS members are reminded that if they signed up to bring food to the induction on Friday, they should drop off their food with Ms. Sizemore Friday morning. Also, any current NHS members interested in running for office need to let Ms. Sizemore know ASAP! Elections will be held at the meeting on Friday.

Any FFA member applying for an officer position, degree, or proficiency award need to turn in their applications no later than Monday, May 4th . Officer interviews will be held Monday, May 11th at 4:30 pm . New officers, degree recipients, and proficiency winners will be announced at the FFA Banquet, Friday, May 15 at 7:30 at
Cornerstone Church.

Football weightlifting is before school at 6:15 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and after school at 3:30 on
Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.

Students: Late Valley Career and Technical Center applications will still be accepted in the counseling office. If you missed the deadline and want to apply, please do so. Also, VCTC just announced that they will be offering a Dual Enrollment
(through BRCC) Landscaping class next year in their horticulture program. Fill out a VCTC application now to apply for this new opportunity. See your counselor with any questions.

Blue Ridge Community College is hosting an event to encourage high school young women to explore aviation.
WINGS - Women Inviting New Girls to Soar is a free event that will take place on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00 to
2:00 . Young Women will receive a free flight with a pre-flight lesson and post flight briefing. Email Mrs. Wangler for the registration link.

Rising juniors and seniors are invited to apply to a new program - the Woodrow Wilson Student Leadership
Program. This program seeks to build leadership skills and an interest in global policymaking. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA, complete an online application, and provide a transcript and 2 letters of recommendation.
