BRITISH DRESSAGE BYRDS RESIDENTIAL TRAINING CAMP

AT ADDINGTON MANOR EC ON 25 & 26 APRIL 2015

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY

Thank you so much for your interest in our BYRDS residential camp this year. Our camps are always well supported so please apply in good time to avoid disappointment.

“So, here we are another one for you all to enjoy!”

Our Saturday night Gala Evening will see Lynne Crowden of the world famous Woodlander Stud present some of her young horses to us. For those of you that don’t know Lynne she is a walking encyclopaedia on all things horses! Lynne will discuss lunging, breaking and producing young horses. I will let you know nearer the time which horses Lynne & her team will be bringing along for us.

Camp will be held at Addington Manor EC, Nr Buckingham, Buckinghamshire MK18 2JR from the evening of

Friday 24 April to Sunday 26 April. If you would like to take a look at their superb facilities etc please visit their website at http://www.addingtonmanor.co.uk

On the Friday you will need to arrive at Addington between 3 pm to 6 pm. There will be a stable manager on site who will direct you to your stable & once your horse is settled in you will need to come along to the cafe & register your arrival with me & be advised of your bridle number & times for Saturday. We will then meet back in the cafe at 7.30pm for a sit down meal and a briefing for the weekend.

Trainers

We have the very best coaches on hand to help you over the weekend. We have chosen coaches that are friendly, knowledgeable, fun & above all want you to enjoy your horse to the best of its ability as much as you do! They are all very experienced and believe me they have seen it all and really do coach ALL LEVELS. They include Jo Swain a registered BD Coach and squad assessor. Jo has competed horses up to small tour level.

Carol Bennitt a registered BD Coach and squad assessor and BHSI trainer and senior assessor. Carol is currently competing up to GP and trains with Carl Hester. Darryl Thickitt is a registered BD Coach and is currently involved in coaching our BD National Pony Squad. Darryl is currently competing up to INT2 level and trains with Carl Hester. All three coaches have trained many successful combinations up to FEI level.

Lectures

Saturday: Regina Hesdon Noble (aka Gina!). Gina works with many athletes including Team GB athletes. Gina will be delivering a practical 45 minute workshop themed “Maintenance of The Human Athlete”. This is not an exercise class & no special clothing is required.

Sunday: Hilary Vernon – bitting guru! Hilary is in demand all over the world with her extensive knowledge on correct bitting. Hilary works with many high profile horses, happy hackers, vets and dentists. Hilary will be delivering 45 minute lectures themed “understanding bitting”.
