I. Beauty for Ashes

“a crown of beauty instead of ashes”

A. One of the natural responses to grief is intense guilt

1) THREE GIRL’S DYING WHILE I WAS IN COLLEGE

When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

B. The answer is not self-punishment, but the grace that comes from Jesus

B. How will we ever recover if we take away the source of our joy

So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
