SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY
Notre Dame Catholic School is composed of a Lower Campus for students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade and an Upper
Campus for sixth through twelfth grade. The traditions of the institution are drawn from the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur who, in
1904, founded the original school which was known as the Academy of Mary Immaculate. Notre Dame Catholic School is the parish
school of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church and serves students from ten other Catholic
parishes in the three-county area. The student body is 78 percent Catholic. Tuition Assistance is distributed to 31 percent of the
school families. The average class size is 16.
ACCREDITATION/MEMBERSHIPS
Notre Dame Catholic School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department and AdvancED. Notre Dame is recognized as
accredited by Texas Education Agency under Tarrant County, Diocese of Fort Worth. Memberships include the National Catholic Education
Association, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
