2015 Simon Bucking Stock Sale Press Release The Simon Bucking Stock sale would like to thank all the buyers , sellers and contestants for their participation in this year’s sale. It was a record setting year with sales of livestock reaching over a million! The United States and Canada were well represented with buyers and sellers from as far west as California, as far East as Vermont, North into Canada and South into New Mexico, Arizona and Florida. Bucking horses took command with the top five sellers averaging $21,800.00 Again this year the focus seemed to be on the Futurities. All of the top five selling horses were entered in the three year old futurity with Jeff Dees taking home not only the buckle and over $2600 for winning the 3 year old Futuriity but also the buckle for the top selling horse and the Elite Trailer for the high selling animal. He definitely had a smile on his face! This amazing horse was a dun paint gelding named High Class who was bought by Frontier Rodeo. Jeff and his father Don have been long time consigners at the Simon Bucking Stock Sale and we would like to offer a special congratulations to them! The two year old Futurity was won by Lot #86 a paint gelding firebrand 341, a consignment of Lee Jay Larmon who also took home a buckle and winnings of almost $3000.00. This nice colt was bought by J Hart Rodeo. Lee Jay’s luck was with him as he also won the handmade Trent Ward saddle donated by Trent Ward Saddlery. This was a random drawing to which all consigners were entered. The Saddle Bronc Futurity was won by Russ Kling’s #822 Shale Plays, bought by Bill O’Connel, with 2nd place going to Stan Heading’s Blue Moon, a Blue Eye’s son, bought by Weldon Black and 3rd place going to Lance Lesmeister’s #102 a bay gelding. The Bareback Futurity was also won by a Russ Kling consignment, Firebrand 98 named Chuckster bought by Rafter H Rodeo. Second place also going to Kling Rodeo with their consignment of firebrand #952 Crop Adjuster being bought by Harry O’Rouck. Third place went to Lance Lesmeister with his consignment firebrand 169 Wagon Boss. The High Selling Bull belt buckle went home with David Bailey Rodeo for their consignment of firebrand #018 Kokomo being bought by Shane Gunderson. The top 10 animals averaged $17,500; top 20 $12,155; top 50 $8542 and top 100 $6014. There was nearly 500 head of livestock consigned. Contestants also fared well with a total pot of almost $18,000. Taking home 1st place winnings in the SB Futurity was Sam Leftwitch, and splitting second and third was Clay Steinler and Blake Cress. IN the Bareback Futurity Tyler Pasour was first, Trig Clark second and Ethan Crouch third. In the regular sale Saddle Broncs the order was Weston Persbacher, Josh Davison, Will Gullickson. The Bareback placings were: Austin Graham, Alex Edmonds, Pierre Boudreau. The bulls placings on Tuesday were Travis Smith, Nick Middleton and Michael Jeffries. On Wednesday Dusty Russell, Rudy Borntrager and Dillon Ray. The Bull Riding average was won by Mason Lowe, Kyle Peterson 2nd and Fulton Retlund 3rd. The Simon Bucking Stock sale would also like to thank the many people that work diligently behind the scenes especially Matt Noble and his crew. Also the Lazy E for the outstanding facilities.
