Life Drawing Studio participants may work in any medium (odorless solvents please). Studio has easels
and drawing boards. You may wish to include some form of easy clean up in your supplies – paper

Bottle of Sta-Flo liquid starch (Walmart)
Watercolor paper (inexpensive pad is fine / will also eventually need 1 medium sized sheet of 140 lb
coldpress for gouache project)
Package of plain white copy paper
Colored pencils / crayons
A few watercolors - tubes or pans

fabric... anything goes as long as we can glue it/paint it/sew it/or otherwise mess it up. No originals unless
they can be
sacrificed, please.

Brushes: #4, 6 & 8 round tip…Kolinsky sable is best

Watercolor paper block, 10 x 14”, 140 pound hot or cold press….I use both.
Pencils and erasers
Drawing paper
Foam core or plexiglass sheet, about 14 x 18” to tape down your watercolor paper.
Small container for water.
If you do not already have a book shelf full of ‘how to paint’ books, you might want to consider ‘The
Watercolor Book’ by David Dewey. It’s as good as any and better than most. It is out of print….but used
copies are always available for $20-30 at Amazon.com.

Misc Materials: 2 Jars (I would recommend a museum pot and a Silicoil Jar, a salsa jar works in a pinch)
