All players MUST be registered and have fees paid before they are able to take the court for training, grading or competition. Late registration will be considered on availability of team places and payment of fees. Consideration will be given to payment plans on application to the registrar in consultation with the committee. ALL PLAYERS MUST be in uniform on first competition game, new players will be allowed a 2 week grace period by HDNA and must be in full uniform by week 3 of competition. Please see the committee for confirmation of dates. ALL JUNIORS WILL BE GRADED if more than one team is needed for an age group; o o o o This will be through group training sessions and club grading games Final teams will be made after the final club grading game; players will be playing in their original teams the first club grading match and changes will be made from there. No unnecessary changes will be made. This will be in consultation with the junior convenor, coaches and committee members. NOVAS, JUNIORS AND CADETS WILL HAVE GROUP TRAINING DAYS AND EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED ATTEND. o Coaches WILL have the opportunity to coach their teams on these training days BUT ALL TEAMS are encouraged train on these days. o Coaches have the opportunity to coach on separate training days but their players are encouraged come to the group training sessions. o Group training sessions will be organised in collaboration with the coaches and a full run-down of these sessions will be planned/explained through an open meeting. If your child is interested, encourage them to participate in the appropriate netball activity. However, if your child is not willing to participate, do not force him or her. Remember, children are involved in organised activity for their enjoyment, not yours. 2. Focus upon your child's efforts and performance rather than the overall outcome of the event. This assists your child in setting realistic goals related to his/her ability by reducing the emphasis on winning. 3. Teach your child that an honest effort is as important as victory, so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment. 4. Encourage your child to always play according to the rules. 5. Never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game. 6. Remember that children learn best from example. Applaud good play by all players. 7. If you disagree with an umpire or coach raise the issue through the appropriate channels rather than question their judgement and honesty in public. 8. Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse. 9. Recognise and respect the value and importance of volunteer administrators, coaches and umpires. 10. They give up their time and resources to provide recreational activities for players and deserve your support. 11. Be a model of good sports behaviour for children to copy. 12. As we are a not for profit community group we ask that parents donate their time at duty days to help man the sausage sizzle, cake stall, adjust goal post height & clean up grounds.
