Objectives:

Learn basic skills of debating.

Learn basic skills of creating a mediated presentation
3.
Develop a sense of ethical issues surrounding persuasion.
4.
Understand basic concepts in environmental and social systems
5.
Apply concepts to sustainability issues.
Requirements:
1.
Participate in class discussions regarding sustainability and oil spills.
2.
Participate in debates about sustainability and related environmental issues.
3.
Prepare and present a poster about on contemporary sustainable issues.
4.
Complete two short examinations over course materials.
