Helpful hints:
1) Have a clear and logical TOPIC SENTENCE or HOOK
2) Use POINT, PROOF, EXPLANATION, when organizing your evidence.
3) Use LINKING/TRANSITIONAL WORDS to enhance the coherence(e.g. For example,
Also, As well, Moreover, Finally, etc)
4) Have a clear and logical CONCLUDING SENTENCE that sums up the argument and
does NOT repeat the topic sentence word for word
5) Internally cite each piece of evidence: the title of the hand-out or PPT is sufficient.
6) e.g. (“Treaty of Versailles”), (“Ypres Battle Chart”) OR (Colyer et al. 135).
