Engineering and Technology Management Group Leadership Telecon Tuesday, July 17, 2013 Convened at 12:03 PM ET; adjourned 12:23 PM ET Participating Allen Arrington, ETM Director Shirley Brandt, SETC Secretary Brad Steinfeldt, SATC Chair John Dahlgren, SETC Chair Cam Martin, History TC Chair Tom Irvine, ManagementTC Vice-Chair Agenda: TAC Updates: NIS report TC updates TAC-HAC Liaison – Per the email from Betty, TAC is looking for someone to take over as the liaison between TAC and the Honors and Awards Committee (HAC). This is probably the most active of the TAC liaison positions; not necessarily a lot of homework, but certainly a lot of communication that takes place between TAC and HAC. TC Chairs are asked to poll their membership to see if anyone is interested. Someone with experience with TC awards would be a good candidate. Shirley indicated that she was interested in the position. She is currently a Regional Deputy Director for Awards, so she has the right background. But, would this be a conflict of interest? Allen will forward the nomination to Basil and ask about the COI question. CASE Update: The program has been finalized and looks very interesting. Nassim Taleb, author of “Black Swan” and “Antifragile” and Art Thompson, project lead for the Red Bull Challenge, are confirmed as keynote speakers for CASE.
