Facility Use Guidelines: Fellowship Hall and Large Kitchen Thermostat: The thermostat is programmed for an ‘occupied’ and an ‘unoccupied’ schedule. The occupied temperature range is 70-78 degrees and the unoccupied temperature range is 6085 degrees. These temperature ranges can only be reprogrammed by our facility manager. If you are using Fellowship Hall during an ‘occupied’ program time the thermostat will read ‘occupied’. If the thermostat reads ‘unoccupied’ you may push the white button located above it to turn on the ‘occupied’ settings for two hours. Note: It takes 20 minutes for the temperature to change 10 degrees. Displays: Do not use nails, screws, pushpins or anything else that might mar walls or woodwork; use non-staining removable poster gum or non-residue tape (not masking or double-sided). Easels are best! DUMC has two that can be made available upon request. Fire Danger: Candles – We prefer that you use flameless candles (LED, battery powered). These candles prevent risk of fire and of dripping wax onto floors. If using real candles, use extreme caution near carpet, draperies, clothing, and furniture. Use a holder which prevents drips. Unscented candles only. Furniture: Extra chairs are stored in the Fellowship Hall closet with the folding doors. Extra tables are located in the storage closet of the foyer just outside Fellowship Hall. Please return all chairs and tables back to closets after the event. Kitchen: Please return everything to where you found it! Labels on cabinets and drawers can assist you. Dishwashing: Instructions for the dishwasher are posted on the wall. Scrape, then rinse food from dishes and utensils before putting them in the dishwasher. Coffee Maker: The coffeemaker is simple to use; operating instructions are posted nearby. Recycling, Landfill (Garbage) Containers: Zero waste is our goal. Please see the “Tips for a Green Event”included in your facility use packet. AV: A microphone, stereo system, and projector are located in the closet with double doors. They may be used but must be put back where they are found. Facility users must figure out how to use them on their own. A projector screen is not available. WIFI: Wifi is available in both the education wing and administration wing of the “Old Building” (Fellowship Hall is in the middle so it doesn’t matter which one you choose). The code for both is davisumc. Fellowship Hall Clean-up Checklist Return furniture to default locations.
