Lab Preparation *It is best to prepare your lab before students begin the lab activity. Please follow the directions below to assist in preparing your laboratory. Materials and Equipment H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide 3% solution) Liquid starch KI (Potassium Iodide) Distilled Water 3 beakers (500ml) Preparation Instructions- The teacher will prepare the three solutions used inside the lab activity for students. Step 1- Measure out 100ml of H2O2 (Hydrogen Peroxide 3%) for each group. Place H2O2 in a beaker and label it H2O2. Step 2. Measure out approximately 4 grams of KI (Potassium Iodide) and dissolve in 250 ml of distilled water. Label this solution Potassium Iodide solution. Step 3. Measure out approximately 20ml of Starch along with 200ml of distilled water. Pour the ingredients together inside a beaker and label it Starch solution. Step 4. Use the lab activity to ensure that students have all their materials and equipment in place before the lab activity begins. Step 5. Make sure to have 3 solutions (Hydrogen Peroxide, Starch, and Potassium Iodide Solution) prepared for each group.
