Viewing a Wider World (VWW) Courses
VWW courses are a university graduation requirement.
You must select two courses from two different colleges and outside of your
department. If the course subject (e.g. ANSC, HLS, MGMT) is the same as your major
courses, pick another class!
For example, you may select one class from the College of Business as long as it is from a
department other than your major.
Make sure the course is not cross-listed with a course in the department of your major. For
example WS 381V Women’s Health issues is cross-listed with HLS 381V.

Select your catalog year and enter VWW in the search area, keep scrolling until your reach
the VWW area.
To find VWW courses in the online schedule, go to the Course Search screen on your
myNMSU
1. Under the "Subject" heading either Select All courses OR CTRL, click just the
subjects you want to see.
2. In the "Course Number" box, type in %%%V. (The % symbol is the wildcard
symbol.)
3. Then click CLASS SEARCH
4. This search will produce all VWW courses offered that semester.
