Veterinary Computed radiography
1) Gray Scale resolution should be 16 bits/pixel or 65536 levels of gray scale.
2) Image access time for a 14x17 cassette should not be more than 35 seconds
3) Should not weigh more than 36kg so that it is wall mountable.
4) Spatial resolution should be minimum 100 microns or 10 pixel /mm
5) Should have a plate throughput of minimum 70 cassettes per hour for size
14”x17”.
6) Each I/P plate should guarantee 300000 artefact free exposures or three
years of warranty.
7) Should have fixed I /P plates that do not leave the cassette as scanning is
in progress.
8) Image acquisition software should have the facility of handling the
workstation with a touch screen capability. It should include the database of
the patient and should be capable to export images in DICOM and JPEG/TIFF
formats. It should possess the capability to deliver the image of the patient on
a CD, print as JPEG on paper or print it in DICOM format on film.

provide for storage and retrieval of these test results and comparison

addition to this there should also be a reporting module which enables the
