We wanted to remind you of a few important items regarding STAAR Testing.
Due to testing security, CIS will not be able to accommodate visitors for lunch on test
days. Please plan for your child to eat in the cafeteria or bring lunch from home on these days. Teachers will
sit with students in the cafeteria on these days to monitor.
Also, in accordance with state-mandated policies regarding the inappropriate use of telecommunication
devices, we are encouraging students to leave cell phones at home on testing days. Cell phones will not be
permitted in the testing site on the day of the test. Students who fail to leave cell phones at home or in their
locker will be asked to remove them from their pockets, purses or clothing and turn them in to the test
administrator. Failure to comply with this policy will result in disciplinary action.
