Dear Parent/Guardian,
Firstly we would like to congratulate all students who have auditioned and gained main
parts in this year’s Academy Production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. We are extremely excited
about the talent of our students and feel this will be an outstanding show, and something
that students will be proud to be part of.
We now have 14 weeks to rehearse for the show and therefore a rehearsal schedule is
important to ensure we have a performance that reaches it true potential. It is extremely
important that students are available for the rehearsal dates. Therefore I have attached a
rehearsal schedule below for students to attend. This is a provisional schedule and
depending on progress we may need to add rehearsals nearer the time.
If your son/daughter is in the chorus of the show, they will not be needed for every Monday
night rehearsal, as we may be working with the principles. Students will be notified whether
they are needed for rehearsal on the Monday before.
We are aiming to create an outstanding musical and follow in the success of our ‘Hairspray’
performance. We understand the commitment that we are asking of the students and feel
that the experience and enjoyment will be worth the hours!
