The student must remain in good standing and have re-enrolled prior to March 1st of the upcoming school year to continue with the frozen rate. If re-enrollment forms and fees not received by March 1st, the student will be charged new start school year rate*. This is a DEADLINE DATE. 2015-2016 $5,081.00 Please note this is per student, not per family. includes: tuition, curriculum & technology fee, capitol use fee combined into one convenient payment amount. Enroll after March 1st the rate will be $5,224.00 *The new start year rate will be an 3% increase in tuition for the 2016-2017 school year and so. Discounts only apply to the tuition portion. Payment MUST be received on or before August 1st, no exceptions. Credit card payments will not be accepted. Financial Aid Grace Christian provides assistance to families with demonstrated financial need. Families desiring financial assistance will need to submit a FAST application that is found on our website. Application MUST be submitted by May 1st for the upcoming school year. The final decision will be made by the Christian Education Board. Recipients will be notified on or before June 20th. Note: we are self-funded, no outside sources are available to us at this time. Financial Aid / discounts only apply to the tuition portion of the overall cost. Grace Lutheran Church Active members receive a 15% discount off their tuition cost. “What constitutes and active member? Communicant member of the congregation, immediate family members only, attends worship at Grace Lutheran Visalia a minimum of 26 times per year. This discount can only be combined with the full year in advance payment- No other double discounts are given. What is curriculum and technology fee? ($150.00) This annual fee is used to purchase curriculum and classroom needs, which includes Chromebooks for all 5 th – 8th grade students. What is the Capital Use Fee? ($150.00) This annual fee will be used to defray the cost of building additions, maintenance, and upgrades of the facility. ADDITIONAL SCRIP Program Participation in the SCRIP program (see attached sheet regarding SCRIP information). SCRIP is a gift certificate program. A graduating scale will be applied for more than one student per family. See the SCRIP information sheet or contact the Business Manager for further details. Classroom Supplies Field Trip expenses-Mainly for upper graders overnight field trips, such as, Genesis Science Camp, Gold Rush A list will be provided by the classroom teacher, example crayons, folder, glue stick etc. Trip, State Capital, San Francisco etc. These classrooms are authorized to host fundraisers to defray the cost during the school year. VOLUNTARY Lunch Milk Program $8.00 20 milks per card, either white or chocolate Hot Lunch $_______ Weekly Chapel Offering Booster Club and School annual fundraisers- Auction, tamale sale, magazine sale etc. Service Project opportunities at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter Fundraising Opportunities for the 4th – 6th Grade classes to help defray overnight field trips- (2014-2015 $8 per card) (2014-2015 $3.50 per meal) Maverick coffee, See’s Candy, Snow Cones etc. After School and Holiday Childcare Registration- Annual onetime fee- $30.00 per child Childcare Program Before School Child Car 7-8:25 AM NO Charge After School Child Care 3:15-6 PM – Rate $5 per child for first hour, $2.50 per every 30 minutes after the initial first hour fee. Holiday Child Care- full day $30 (partial day rates not available) General Information Tuition and fees are reviewed annually by the Christian Education Board and Grace Lutheran Church Council. Tuition and other fees for the school are not deductible for tax purposes (IRS Revenue Ruling 83-104). This committee would review all requests regarding the use of Capital Use Funds. The 5 person Committee would consist of: o Member of the Church Council o Principal o School family – non-member o School family – member o Business Manager All requests must be submitted in writing with needed documentation, bids etc. to assist in the decision process. The $150.00 per student needs to be held separately in an interest generating account from general operating expenses. The committee will generate a report when funds are used. This report will be made available to school families and church members. The committee will submit all records for audit as requested by the Business Manager. Payment of funds will be made through the Business Office of Grace Lutheran.
