GENERAL INFORMATION
Uludağ University Büyükorhan Vocational School which located in Büyükorhan
district, Bursa province was established in 2009. It is presented by a rich physical
infrastructure, forceful and humanistic academic staff, contemporary, modern and
peaceful educational environment. As geographically our vocational school which
located at triangle of Balıkesir, Bursa and Kütahya provinces instills in our students a
love of nature and it also provides a quality education with its surroundings forestry
applications.

Forestry and Forest Products Programme is a pre-license programme which grows
up applicable staff in area in Forest business sector. Büyükorhan Vocational School
got first students in 2010 year. Büyükorhan Vocational School in Forest Department
Hunting and Wildlife Programme started to education in 2012 year.
Entry into Programmes
Graduates from related vocational and tecnical middle school programmes are entry
into Forestry and Forest programme without exam. Students must have enough
score from type of YGS-6 in YGS exam which made by OSYM (Student Selection
and Placement Center) and they must choose this programme on Preference Form
of OSYM.
Working Areas of Graduates
Graduates from Forestry and Forest Products work as forest guard at Ministry of
Regional Directorate of Forestry and Water Affairs or as a forest technician in the
private sector.
In the public sector, graduates from Hunting and Wildlife programme work as forest
guard at Departments of Nature Conservation, Sensitive Areas, Wildlife, Hunting
Management and Biodiversity within General Directorate Nature Protection and
National Parks, Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, General Directorate Nature
Protection and National Parks. In the private sector, they also work hunting places,
hunt animal production farms and related hunting tourism businesses etc., safari
parks and hunting clubs.
Proceeding in the Occupation
According to graduation fields, if graduates from Hunting and Wildlife programme are
successful in DGS (Dikey Geçiş Sınavı) exam which made by OSYM, they can pass
to license programme of Forest Engineer. Also, graduates from Forestry and Forest
Products programme can pass to license programme of Forest Industry Engineer and
Forest Engineer.
