Outcomes for SCOPE Fellows/SCOPE Research Associates
In preparing the SCOPE curriculum, it is important to state our expectations of the
Fellows/RAs. Students participating as Research Associates will be able to educate the
University of Alabama student body on engaged scholarship. Students are expected to participate in SCOPE activities. These activities include attending workshops on engaged scholarship, making brief SCOPE presentations to other university students, and assisting with recruitment. At the end of the school year, research associates will be:

Well-prepared to begin the process of initiating an engaged scholarship project
Research Associates can choose to either become SCOPE fellows or participate in engaged scholarship projects with community partners and/or faculty members.
SCOPE Fellows will engage in empirical research activities, write and/or review publishable research manuscripts, and will have the option to attend workshops on engaged scholarship, make SCOPE presentations, and assist with recruitment. SCOPE fellows will be:
Recognized at the CCBP Awards luncheon
