Substitute Teacher - will work to create and enhance a culture of achievement and respect where high
expectations and results are the norm. The Substitute Teacher is responsible for demonstrating
significant and measurable academic gains with the students they teach. Bachelor’s degree required in
Education. Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English). (Per-Diem)
Custodial/Janitorial Worker - will perform custodial and maintenance duties in and around the campus
facilities, troubleshoots, performs minor repairs and responds to emergency calls for service;
implements setup and takedown for a wide variety of campus and community events; works closely
with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure
efficient and safe operations. High school diploma; supplemented with three (3) years of related work
experience. Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI Clearances required. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. (PartTime)
Safety Team Member – is responsible to enforce procedural rules and regulation. Ensure the personal
safety of children, staff, visitors, and property. Maintain security and safety for assigned areas. High
School diploma education or GED and two years general experience in security, law enforcement or

Bus Attendant/School Bus Driver - is responsible for operating safely and courteously, a bus or van
through heavy or light city or highway traffic, in all conditions, and following all rules and regulations.
Bus Attendant/School Bus Driver will be providing support within the student transportation services
area with specific responsibilities for assisting special education students during transport to and from
school and/or special activities; ensuring orderly entering and leaving of bus patrons; maintaining seat
chart of riders; and ensuring the safety and sanitation of assigned vehicles. The requirements are: class
B or class A commercial License with S and P endorsements and school bus Yellow Card, with clean
drivers record, at least 2 years’ experience driving school bus. (Part-Time)
Administrative Assistant (Food Service) – will be providing secretarial and administrative support to the
Food Service Department; communicating information to staff, school administration, regulating
agencies, programs and vendors; ensuring compliance with financial, legal and administrative
requirements; tracking and efficient procurement of purchases; and supporting the broad array of
services provided to ASPIRA Inc. of Pennsylvania and ASPIRA Schools through the Food Service
Department. High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working with food service industry

Club Facilitator - will have complete responsibility for the assessment of the student’s needs,
implementation of program activities to meet these needs, maintaining up-to-date files on each student,

K-5 - Assistant Group Supervisor - A high school diploma or a general educational development
certificate and 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education,

Degree in guidance in counseling, in psychology, in social work, in education or related field from
accredited university or college required. Must be Bilingual. Knowledge of child development specifically of physical, emotional, and developmental patterns. Must possess Pennsylvania school

Kindergarten Spanish Teacher – The Elementary Teacher reports to the School Principal of the ASPIRA
Charter Schools and is responsible for creating a flexible elementary grade program and a class
environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with students; to
motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for
upper elementary grade education in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish good
relationships with parents and other staff members. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university or
college required. Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred. Some knowledge in bilingual education.

ELL Teacher - is responsible for developing bilingual students' ability to effectively perform courses of
study in the English language by implementing the district approved curriculum; documenting teaching
and student progress/activities/outcomes; providing methods to support and/or reinforce classroom
goals in the home; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; developing appropriate lesson
plans and instructional techniques; evaluating students level of English fluency and providing feedback
to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. Bachelor’s

activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and
social growth. Math teacher will be able to cultivate in our students the critical thinking and problem
