Press Release ContiTech Industrial Fluid Systems ContiTech Introduces New Beverage Transfer Hose For North American Markets New Velocity hose ideal for beer, wine, milk and beverage transfer Flexible, lightweight PVC construction Meets USDA & FDA requirements Fairlawn, Ohio, September 26, 2015 – ContiTech, a leading worldwide manufacturer and distributor of industrial hose and fittings for a variety of applications, has introduced a new beverage transfer hose, the Continental ContiTech Velocity BT for North American markets. The new hose is designed for transfer of beverages needing lightweight, flexible PVC hose such as milk processing, wine or beer production including filtration, barreling, transfer, pressing and storage and fermentation tanks. “The Velocity Beverage Transfer (BT) hose is a tough, clear lightweight PVC hose that lets you see liquid transfer in motion,” said Randy Kish, manager of distributor marketing for industrial hose and hydraulics for ContiTech. “That’s why it’s ideal for wineries, breweries and milk processing facilities where seeing your product is important in the production process.” ContiTech’s Velocity BT is offered in four diameter-width options ranging from 1.5 inches (110 psi) to 4 inches (75 psi). Velocity’s corrugated outer PVC helix and synthetic braid reinforcement meet USDA & FDA requirements. It’s made with NSF approved materials to meet the safe transfer of product required and also features a 3:1 minimum burst pressure in compliance with the RMA/ARPM standards. The ContiTech Velocity BT hose’s tube and cover are constructed with a clear Pliovic compound that conforms to FDA, USDA, 3-A standards and is approved to the NSF-61 standard. It is reinforced with polyester synthetic yarn and its helix is a white rigid PVC compound. The hose can withstand temperatures from minus 13 degrees to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 25 to 60 degrees Celsius).
