What makes a friend? Can Little Red make friends with a starving wolf and an overexcited

to keep one.
The Elves & the Toymaker Dec. 5-20, 2015
Productions now in Fremont and Shoreline as well as Kirkland
6 Performances only at the Kirkland Performance Center
Recommended age 3+
It’s the holiday season and a Toymaker and his wife have been working day and night to get toys
ready to give to boys and girls everywhere. But on the morning they are to be delivered the
Toymaker discovers all the toys have disappeared! Instead of giving up, the Toymaker and his
wife decide to rebuild, but they just can’t finish in time. Two silly and very generous Elves decide
they want to help the Toymaker by secretly finishing the job. In true StoryBook Theater fashion,
this inclusive holiday musical will delight audiences young and old and remind everyone that the
spirit of giving is truly the greatest gift of all.
Jack and the Beanstalk Performances begin Jan. 30
Recommended age 3+
Shows in Renton, Kirkland, Shoreline, Everett and Fremont
In real life Jack is frightened of everything, except the adventures in his head. But when given the
choice to stay home and dream, or explore the world a giant beanstalk has to offer, Jack decides
to find the courage to climb the beanstalk and to have a real-life adventure of his very own.
Sleeping Beauty Performances begin Apr. 16
Recommended age 3+
Shows in Renton, Kirkland, Shoreline, Everett and Fremont
Princess Beauty is a cutie, but being pretty doesn’t cut it when you really want to slay dragons
and find adventure. Will Beauty get to be her very own hero – or will she be interrupted by a 100year nap? And will the Prince save her – or will she save him? (This StoryBook version isn’t just
for girls – the boys will love it, too!)

About Studio East and StoryBook Theater
Studio East Training for the Performing Arts was founded in 1992 to provide theater arts
education for young people on the Eastside. It was founded on the belief that through the
performing arts children can build confidence, and acquire leadership and teamwork skills while
learning discipline, dedication and responsibility. Starting with one theater program for teens in
1992, Studio East has become one of the largest children’s theater training programs in the
Seattle area. Today, Studio East serves over 70,000 people annually with an award-winning
program of drama classes, theater arts camps, Mainstage productions and live performances for
children from ages 4 through 19. Studio East also produces StoryBook Theater, an adult
professional touring troupe that introduces young children to live theater at venues throughout
the Puget Sound area. Studio East creates opportunities for young people to discover and explore
the performing arts.
