Current Position and Nature of My Practice
I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital
which is Western Australia`s major trauma centre, a teritiary
referral centre and primary teaching hospital. Here, I am involved
in the management of orthopaedic trauma patients and I also
provide elective orthopaedic services, mainly in shoulder and knee
surgery.
I am also provide trauma and elective orthopaedic services at
Joondalup Health Campus, which has the largest Emergency
Department in Western Australia.
My sub-specialty training is in all facets of shoulder and knee
surgery, with a special interest in sports injuries. I perform both
open and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery in the shoulder and
knee and I have special interests in cruciate ligament
reconstruction, meniscal injuries, rotator cuff injuries and related
conditions, and surgery for shoulder instability and labral injuries.
I also perform knee and shoulder replacement surgery and other
solutions for arthritis affecting these joints.
I take a gentle and thorough approach to patient care, aiming
always to maximise outcomes and I have a strong interest in
orthopaedic research and its application to clinical practice.
My private practice is with the Hollywood Orthopaedic Group, a
dynamic group of nine dedicated surgeons, and I regularly visit the
Pilbara region of WA, providing orthopaedic services at Port
Hedland, Karratha, and Newman.
I am married with a young son. Living in Perth Western Australia I
enjoy anything to do with our aquatic environment and our
