Final Exam Project
This project is designed to give you some practical experience applying the voting
methods we have studied in class. You will work individually and be required to develop a
preference questionnaire. The questionnaire must then be used to survey at least 30 different
people. The preference ballots are to be accumulated into a preference schedule. You will use
each of the different voting methods to determine the “winner''. A final evaluation of the survey
results and of the best voting method is to be made.
The Questionnaires
A. Must consist of 4 options which are to be ranked according to preference by each person.
B. Must be given to at least 30 different people.
C. Results are to be summarized in a preference schedule.
Voting Methods
A. You are to apply all 4 different voting methods to your preference schedule.
B. A detailed description of the work involved to apply each method is to be included and
thorough. No credit will be given if no work is shown.
