Bottom Line’s mission is to help low-income and first-generation students get in to college, graduate from college, and go far in life by providing one-on-one guidance and support. Members of the Leadership Committee will help connect Bottom Line with their networks to help raise money, spread the word about Bottom Line, and hold a successful event. The Committee has an extremely important impact on both the success of the event and the organization overall. Results: Once a small organization serving 25 students, Bottom Line has grown into a multi-state support network serving nearly 4,000 students from Boston, Worcester, New York, and Chicago. Our services have achieved remarkable results: 78% of our students have graduated within 6 years, a rate which is more than twice the national average for similarly-disadvantaged students. Annual Dinner: Thanks to the support of nearly 150 generous sponsors, Bottom Line raised $892,000 from the 2014 Dinner on April 8th, the largest and most successful event to date. This funding makes up nearly 20% of our annual revenue and these funds helped more than 2,300 students get to or through college last year. This year, we hope to grow our programs even more and raise at least $1 million at our 10th Anniversary Dinner. Leadership Committee Role: Become a sponsor of our 2015 Dinner, either as an individual or through your company Identify and recruit at least 2-5 other corporations or individuals to join you in supporting Bottom Line’s mission through sponsorship of our dinner. Use personal/professional contacts to generate 2-5 items for our live/silent auction Identify other potential Leadership Committee members if possible.
