JOB DESCRIPTION – Farm Advisor Job Title: Farm Advisor Salary and Salary up to £28 K (depending on experience) Benefits: Stakeholder Pension Scheme Hours: Full time (40 hours per week) Location: Trust’s Office or Home Office Reporting to: Senior Projects Officer and Trust Director Responsible for: No staff Important Internal – Trust Board and executive team Functional External – functional reporting to CamEO partnership, including water Relationships: stewardship board and sub-catchment partnerships. Networking with farmers, landowners agricultural supply chain businesses, The Rivers Trust, Anglian Water, the Environment Agency, Natural England, Project Funders, Trust Members and other key stakeholders in the catchment Main Purpose of Job: 1. Management and delivery of farm advice to mitigate the impacts of Diffuse Water Pollution from Agriculture (DWPA) within the Cam Ely Ouse catchment on behalf of the CamEO partnership and WaterLIFE project. 2. Dissemination of the project’s achievements 3. Influence the activities of other stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the Water Framework Directive. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Ensuring that activities support the trusts charitable aims and objectives 2. Developing local relationships with farmers and landowners, visiting farms, developing farm plans and opportunities for mitigating DWPA risks. 3. Helping to implement suggested interventions, monitor benefits and promote best practice (including through organising and attending events) 4. Regular liaison and reporting to the CamEO catchment partnership (including the water stewardship board and sub-catchment partnerships).
