Travel with Westchester Reform Temple and the JDC
The Jewish community of Argentina is the largest in Latin America. Since the Argentinian
economic crisis in 2002 the Jewish community has been through a difficult time. This is a
powerful opportunity for teens along with a parent chaperone, to learn, volunteer and
support the Jewish community.
Join us to volunteer with the Joint Distribution Committee programs, meet with the local
leaders to discuss communal challenges and explore the history and culture of this amazing
country.

J-SERVE "ing" in the Park

For 8th to 12th Graders
On April 19 more than 11,000 Jewish teens from around the world will come together for JSERVE 2015 to serve their communities and make a difference.
Saxon Woods Park is home to the county's only accessible playground. Join us to prepare
the park for the season followed by fun recreational activities with special needs population.

Blythedale Childrens' Hospital

Have fun leading craft projects with children from Blythedale Children's Hospital.
Blythedale is New York State's only independent, specialty children's hospital dedicated to improving the health and
quality of life of children with complex medical illnesses and conditions. Board Certified physicians, experienced
nurses and supporting clinicians work with families to provide individualized, intensive and innovative medical and
therapeutic care.

Help students at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls dress for their prom by planning an afternoon of fun! Create a clothing
store atmosphere, provide refreshments, music and other games and activities.
Hawthorne Cedar Knolls is a residential treatment center for 104 boys, ages 8 to 18, and girls, ages 13 to 18, who
have a wide variety of emotional problems.
The following items needed:
Girls- All sized party dresses, (especially large sizes) shoes, accessories
Boys- Suits, dress shirts, ties, belts, shoes, blazers, dress socks
Donations can be brought directly to the J-Teen Leadership office by 5pm, Mon., April 27

Summer Opportunities
The Jewish Institute for Innovation (JTII)
Join PresenTense, in partnership with ThinkImpact, for an incredible new program focused on social change, The
Jewish Institute for Innovation (JTII). The program, based in NYC, includes a 12-day immersive trip to Panama.
Participants will collaborate with each other-- in New York and abroad-- to develop ideas and create change in their
local communities. This program is part of the New York Teen Initiative run by the Jewish Education Project, and
sponsored by UJA-Federation of NY and the Jim Joseph Foundation.
J-TAG Fellows
J-TAG Fellows (Teens in Action Globally) is a 4 week life-changing opportunity for teens entering 10th - 12th
grades to travel in both Israel and the United States, while making a positive difference in our global community.
This transformative experience will inspire not only lifelong friendships and strengthen Jewish identity, it will also
develop leadership skills, self-confidence and a deeper understanding of Jewish values. See attached flyer.

JustCity Leadership Institute
The JustCity Leadership Institute is a collaboration between The Jewish Theological Seminary, AJSS, AVODAH,
Ramah, and USY. A unique precollege experience, JustCity equips high-school juniors and seniors with the tools
needed to innovate, create, and maximize social impact. At JustCity students learn how to put their passion into
action through college-level classes, fieldwork, and personal projects, all while enjoying the excitement of NYC.
