Revenue Cycle Analyst-Sparrow Health System
Sparrow Health System has three new opportunities in a growing Revenue Cycle Operation.
Revenue Cycle Analyst-Patient Access
Prepare and analyze key performance indicators within the Revenue Cycle. Facilitate process
improvement within the Revenue Cycle by analyzing data, interacting with Revenue Cycle staff, and
interacting with other departments that impact the revenue cycle. Specific duties will include:
1. Project management support of front-end revenue cycle initiatives in Patient Access, Pre-Service
Operations, and HIM.
2. Develop policies and procedures related to POS collections, uninsured collection process.
3. Review and assist in implementation of technology related to Patient Estimates, Financial
Clearance, Patient Collections, Epic MyChart billing module, etc.
4. Provide data analytics support to front-end revenue cycle leaders and staff.
5. Work with analysts and leaders from other departments on process improvement initiatives
identified by Rev Cycle Leadership.
Revenue Cycle Analyst-Patient Financial Services
Prepare and analyze key performance indicators within the Revenue Cycle. Facilitate process
improvement within the Revenue Cycle by analyzing data, interacting with Revenue Cycle staff, and
interacting with other departments that impact the revenue cycle. Specific duties will include:
1. Project management support of back-end revenue cycle initiatives in Hospital and Professional
Billing and Cash Applications.
2. Develop policies and procedures related to billing operations.
3. Review and assist in implementation of technology related to Patient Estimates, Financial
Clearance, Denials, etc.
4. Provide data analytics support to back-end revenue cycle leaders and staff.
5. Work with analysts and leaders from other departments on process improvement initiatives
identified by Rev Cycle Leadership.
Revenue Cycle Analyst-Revenue Integrity
Prepare and analyze key performance indicators within the Revenue Cycle. Facilitate process
improvement within the Revenue Cycle by analyzing data, interacting with Revenue Cycle staff, and
interacting with other departments that impact the revenue cycle. Specific duties will include:
1. Perform payment modeling and validation to identify and follow-up on underpayments from
insurance companies.
2. Analyze pricing information within service lines to provide support for price transparency efforts.
3. Perform net revenue analysis to support contractual modeling, service line analysis, and new
business proformas.
4. Assist with maintenance and analysis of the Hospital’s chargemaster.
5. Work with analysts and leaders from other departments on process improvement initiatives
identified by Rev Cycle Leadership.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Minimum one year experience in Revenue Cycle Operations and/or Healthcare Finance required. 2-5
year’s experience preferred.
