Junior Basketball League
The Whiteland Warrior Junior Basketball League and the basketball coaching staff at Whiteland High
School are teaming up to make this year’s youth league a fun experience for all participants. This
year’s league will teach boys the fundamental skills that are needed to develop into a basketball player.
Skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting are an emphasis for all age groups. Teamwork and
sportsmanship is another area that will be emphasized this year. Players in all grade levels will
participate in league games. Through this league we want to generate excitement and passion for
Warrior Basketball!
Registration Fee
This year’s fee is $85.00 for your 1st child and $50.00 for each additional child. Makes checks payable to Whiteland Basketball.
Each player that participates in the league will receive: a game jersey, basketball (new this year), participation trophy and free
registration for the 2016 Whiteland boys’ basketball summer camp (4 day skills camp for grades K-3. Camp for grades 4-6 includes
a 4 day skills camp and a 4 day team camp). We had over 175 players participate in last year’s camp. Registration fees are also used
to purchase new equipment and pay game officials.

League Dates




All of the WWJBL leagues will run from October 26-January 30.
Practice Days: K-2 (Mondays), Grades 5-6 (Tuesdays), Grade 3-4 (Wednesday)
Each player will participate in at least 8 practices and 7 games. Due to tournament play grades 4-6 may play 9-10 games.
Some practices and games may be moved to a different day if gym space is unavailable due to changes in the high school
athletics schedule.
