CRAYOLA TWISTABLE SLICK STICKS Acts more like an oil pastel than a crayon, so remind
students to smear, and blend.
OIL PASTELS (drawer unit)
SHARPIE MARKERS (drawer unit) After use insure that all caps are tightly replaced, and
set in drawer.
PAINTs








ACRYLIC & TEMPERA PAINT BOTTLES (boxes and drawers)
After use, check for dripping and clean. Return to plastic bins by color family
INK PADS
After use, be certain they are closed tightly and that the colors have not been mixed. If
they have mixed, attempt to clean dabbing with dry towel.
LIQUID, PAD SETS AND INDIVIDUAL WATERCOLOR PAINT INSERTS (drawer unit)
After use, lay wet paint inserts on flat surface to dry. Do not stack. After they dry, place
them back into correct container sorted by color.
MARBLING MATERIALS
Dump dirty and remaining “size” down sink. Thoroughly wash and dry foil trays. Check
colors for drips and tightly secure lids. Replace in plastic bin.
JACQUARD DYES FOR BATIK (heat set) – Pour individual colors into paint cups. Do not
dip brushes into containers.

Save scraps for other projects and place in one of the plastic bins, or grab a box from the
office supply room.
NATURE PAPER – store in dark envelopes. Do not expose to light until ready to use.

MOLDING MATERIALS




CLAY
Each box contains 25 lbs. of wrapped clay. Depending on your project, you may be able
to halve these amounts. Use your best judgment. After use, return to bag and seal
tightly. If clay appears dry, place a damp paper towel inside the bag with clay.
FOIL EMBOSSING MATERIALS & TOOLS - Collect any unused foil pieces and all of tools
and return in box.

After use, wash thoroughly with soap and water by gently moving the brush in a circular

pattern on your palm. When water runs clear, gently squeeze or tap out excess water
and set in drawers to dry.
CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY PAINT BRUSHES
After use, gently wash in water 2x, do not pinch or pull brush hair. Once water runs
clear, model brushes into a point and dry before replacing plastic caps to maintain the
brush tip.
SPONGE BRUSHES
After use, wash thoroughly with soap and water, squeezing excess water out and set in
drawer to dry.
GLASS FRAMES
MIRRORS (self portrait)
PAINT PALETTES, TRAYS & CUPS
After use, wash thoroughly with water & soap, and dry off completely with paper
towels.
TEXTURE TOOLS
After use, clean thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels. Set out if overly wet
otherwise replace in bin.
PATTERN SCISSORS
MEDIUM AND SMALL SQUIRT BOTTLES
GYOTAKU SYNTHETIC SEA FORMS
DO NOT BEND! Between each print, wash thoroughly with soap and water, pat dry with
paper towels and set out to dry completely before replacing in Tupperware bin.
STRAWS (gigantic plastic bag towards back of closet)
TENNIS CANS – For stamping, clean after use and return to closet.
FIXATIVE – For chalk and black pastels. Spray can by bookshelf. Spray outdoors with
newspaper underneath. Light coats.
GLUE, FABRIC GLUE & MODGE PODGE – by door on shelves
