GENERAL INFORMATION : All teams must play three men and three women on the field at all times,
goalie can be either gender. Games are 40 mins no half time, guaranteed 3 games per team, this is a one
day tournament.

All players must sign a waiver to be eligible to play. Teams using ineligible players will be awarded zero
points for the game(s) in question. Team captains must submit your team’s signed waiver before the
start of your second game. Players under 19 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign on their
behalf.
Points will be awarded as follows Points will be deducted as follows
1 point per goal (max 3 points) 1 point deducted for each yellow card
1 point for a shutout 3 points deducted for each red card
6 points for a win
1 point for a tie
MAXIMUM POINTS PER GAME: 10
If a yellow card is awarded prior to a red card, then only 3 points in total will be deducted for that
player’s misbehaviour. Players that are red carded must sit out their team’s next game. If your team is
red carded, your team must play the remainder of that game short the same gender that was red
carded. If a team forfeits a game, the result will be recorded as a 5-0 loss. Teams that are forfeited
against will get maximum points for that game.
To break total point ties when ranking teams for Sunday’s playoff pools, the first criteria will be best
goals for/goals against ratio followed by the fewest goals against, then the most goals for, then a coin
toss. All games 40 minutes with no half time break. On finals only, all games ending in ties after
regulation time will go directly to a 5 penalty shot shootout, followed by sudden death extra shots, if
required. Teams must alternate genders during the shootouts, with the first shooters always being
female. Only those players on the field at the end of regulation time will be eligible to participate in the
shootout.
PRIZE MONEY WILL BE DETERMINED THE WEEK OF THE TOURNAMENT.

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS:
I am aware that soccer involves many risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to collision
with other players and officials, collisions with goal posts and playing surfaces, resulting from
imperfections within playing surfaces and willful violence inflicted by players and/or spectators, I
acknowledge that participation in this event will expose me to risk of injury or loss to person and/or
property. I freely and voluntarily agree to assume all physical and legal risks that may arise from my
participation in this event. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this
event.
WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION:
In consideration of the Penticton Co-ed Soccer Tournament Organizing Committee allowing me to
participate in this event, I, for my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, release the Organizing
Committee, the Penticton Soccer Club, the tournament directors, organizers, sponsors, officials, and all
other organizations, corporations or persons connected with the event or related activities, and their
respective officers, directors, representatives, servants, agents, employees, and volunteers (herein
referred to as the “Event Organization”) and do hereby waive as against the Event Organization all
recourse, claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action arising out of or inconsequence of my
death or any loss, injury, or damage to my person or property which I may suffer contributed to or
occasioned by the negligence of the Event arising out of or in connection with my participation in this
event or any related activity, whether prior to, during or subsequent to the event, however caused, and
even if such death, loss, injury or damage may have been. Organization, other athletes, officials,
participants, spectators, or any other persons that I may encounter as a result of my participation in this
event or related activities. I further undertake and agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the
Event Organization from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, injuries, claims demands,
costs and expenses arising out of or in consequence of, the attendance or participation by me in this
event or any of the related activities.
