You can find the comprehensive list of all the course codes and available sections for Dual Credit at http://www.sdmylife.com/students/advanced-education-opportunities/
Dual Credit Code Format for Infinite Campus:
Please refer to the formatting instructions, below, to ensure that you enter the codes into Infinite
Campus correctly.
1.
Format:
The format should include the two to four letter subject area, a hyphen, and the course number.
E.g. ACCT-210 Principles of Accounting (DC)
2.
Do not Include Section Numbers:
If you see a code like this: BIOL-101-B203 Biology Survey (DC), then please drop the section number BIOL-101-B203 so that it reads: BIOL-101
3.
Laboratory Courses:
To indicate Laboratory Courses, please include the letter “L” after the course number.
E.g CHEM-106L Chemistry Survey Lab (DC)
4.
Course titles can vary, however, the titles need to somehow indicate that the course is Dual
Credit. The suggested method of indication is placing “(DC)” at the end of the title.
Option 1: Add a new course using the course code editor
This option is best used for students taking Dual Credit course during the school day in their home school district and the school would like to show the student is ‘enroll’ in a course.
The State has entered the codes and abbreviated Dual Credit Course titles into your Course Editor. You can use this tool to search for a specific code or view a list of available codes based on search criteria.
The codes start with letters rather than numbers like the high school codes. If you choose to add the course in the “add course” section, you can begin to type in a “State Code.” Once you begin entering a
“State Code” a list will be presented with course codes entered by DOE. See the image below.
If the students take the course outside of school, option 2 may be a more efficient process.
1
ATTENDANCE: If your school district needs to track attendance, then they will need to mark the attendance field, indicated in the image on page one. If the student will be taking the course outside of the building, then you do not need to take attendance; do NOT check this box.
Option 2: Transcript the course at the end of the semester
The alternative to adding this course to IC (Option 1) would be to simply transcript the course and grade at the end, manually. This would be done the same way you manually add in information for a transfer student.
