Invitation Spring 2014 CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations, INSERT NAME you have been selected to participate as a "Kickster" in the Spring 2014 session at Kick, the inclusive incubator. We look forward to your participation, to introducing you to our network of outstanding mentors, and to helping you accelerate toward success within the six-week program and beyond. Before we meet in-person for our first meeting on Tuesday, May 20th, there are a few final tasks to complete: We need to know who from your team is participating! Please confirm final name(s) and attendance by sending an email by Tuesday, May 6th to me: kick-seattle@venturescale.co Please review the attached sample contract. Once we receive your confirmation email with the number team members participating we will respond with an electronic version of the contract to sign on or before Tuesday, May 13th. The total fee for all team members will be reflected in the electronic contract. Please have every team member sign up for Full Time Impact Hub Membership at: impacthubseattle.com/membership on or before Tuesday, May 13th (Note: individuals will only be charged 1 month dues and teams will only be charged dues for 1 individual’s month’s dues-more info below). TUITION AND HUB MEMBER FEES There are two direct costs associated with the Kick Incubator program: 1) Program Tuition and 2) Fulltime Hub Membership. The tuition fee schedule is listed below: Individual Tuition - $1600 Team Tuition o First Team Member - $1,600 o Second Team Member - $1,000 o Third Team Member - $800 Invoices will be issued after May 13 and is due in-full by May 19th. Kick takes place at Impact Hub Seattle, located at 220 2nd Ave S in downtown Seattle, Washington. You will be provided a keycard for 24/7 access and unlimited access to all benefits of membership in the world’s largest coworking and impact entrepreneur network (see more: ImpactHub.net and ImpactHubSeattle.com). The membership fee schedule is listed below with a generous discount from Impact Hub Seattle baked in for Kick participants: Individual Hub Membership - $345 for 6 weeks of Full Time membership ($537.50 value) Team Tuition o First Team Member - $345 ($537.50 value) o Second Team Member - $0 ($537.50 value) o Third Team Member - $0 ($537.50 value) Prior to the end of June, you will need to email billing@impacthubseattle.com to downgrade or cancel your membership (otherwise it will continue at $345/mo). As a reminder, each participant must sign up for Full Time Membership at: impacthubseattle.com/membership. Enter all the information requested, including credit card info and note that you’re a participant in Kick to avoid extra fees. If you’re the 2nd or 3rd member of a team, make sure to note that too! CROWDFUNDING Participants are expected to crowdfund the Kick tuition. Kick has established a partnership with startsomegood.com however you are free to use any crowdfunding platform you choose. The suggested crowdfunding duration is for a 10-day campaign. Last year all applicants that ran a campaign successfully raised their minimum (most set it at $2,000 to cover tuition and membership dues) and many went well beyond the minimum. Some team members choose to set their goal slightly above $2,000 (i.e., $5,000) in order to cover additional startup expenses (logos, legal fees, incorporation, etc).
