Year 12 Parents’ Evening at DGS 4.30 – 7.30 pm
Year 12 Parents' Evening is taking place on Wednesday 14th January 2015 at Didcot Girls' School from 4:307:30pm. Please make sure that students are making appointments with all of their teachers.

If parents are unable to attend this evening please make sure that subject teachers and tutors are informed via
the student.
UCAS
For any student who is still hoping to apply through UCAS the deadline is 18:00 on the 15th January.
If you do still hope to meet this deadline then you must urgently see your Head of Year. Remember when you
send your application we still have to check and add references and predicted grades to it.

AS Resits
Resit forms are now available from the exams offices and the DGS website for summer As resits.
Students need to get these signed by teachers.
Sixth Form Team
The forms need to be returned to the exams office at SBS or DGS fully filled in and with the relevant payment.
Cheques should be made payable to Didcot Girls' School if you are female, and to St Birinus School if you are
male. Forms are attached to this email.
Forms need to be returned by 12th February 2015.
Careers Adviser
Drop In
Sessions
From October, Angela Walker, our careers adviser from Adviza, will be offering weekly careers advice ‘drop in’
sessions for students in the 6th form.
From Monday 20th October, Angela will be in the 6th form study area, at SBS, during lunch 2, 12.45-1.15pm.
From Friday 24th October, Angela will be in the study area, at DGS, from 12.45-1.15pm.
Ask a quick question about anything to do with careers…… career pathways and entry requirements,
jobs/apprenticeships after A levels, applying to college or university, course fees and student finance,
preparing a CV, taking a year out, etc. Appointments can be made if a longer discussion is required.
