HLI APPEAL ANNOUNCEMENTS The Male Ushers will celebrate their 9th Anniversary today during the 8:00am Service. Congratulations. Pastor Williams and the Health Committee will meet today, after the 11:00am service. All persons interested in this ministry are welcome to join. Wednesday Bible Study will be held at 12:00 noon & 7:00pm. All are encouraged to come and participate. The Williams Memorial Drumline will have their 1st practice on Saturday, January 23rd at 1pm. MLK DAY Scholarship Breakfast and Oratorical Contest will be held on Monday, January 18th 8:00 am at HPU Community Center. MLK DAY SERVICE will be held here at Williams Memorial CME Church on Monday evening. Bishop John R Bryant, Senior Bishop of the AME Church, will be the featured speaker along with the presentation of the MLK Scholarship finalists. The Men of Williams Memorial will serve breakfast at the Open Door Shelter on Saturday, January 23rd . All men are asked to be at the shelter by 6:15am. The Helena B. Cobb and P. Ann Pegues Scholarship essay competition will take place at Williams Memorial CME next Saturday, January 23rd at 11:00am. The Higher Learning Institute (HLI) is a fun and informative program to help middle and high school students in the High Point Community prepare for their future. February is Black History Month! We will begin the pre-celebration sharing an evening with the national award winning A&T State University Fellowship Gospel Choir directed by Ronald Jones. The theme is: “Chosen: Light up the World” Our celebration will begin on January 31st with Bro. Raymondo Brady and the Rev. Andre Lloyd of West Side Community CME Church of Atlanta, GA as our guest speakers during the morning worship services. The CYYA Week continues as our Christian Youth Fellowship hosts a Community Outreach Forum on Wednesday, February 3rd. A lite meal will be served at 6:30pm followed by the start of the forum at 7:00pm. See the bulletin for details. All youth, young adults and adults are encouraged to attend this interactive and informative outreach forum.
