May 6, 2014 Dear Hospital Partners, As we prepare to integrate all OneBlood regions to our one-of-a-kind Regulated Software Application, known as RSA, please be advised of the following: Implementation of new codes for apheresis platelets (non leukoreduced) and cryo pools (5 and 10) go into effect June 1, 2014. Implementation of new plasma products collected by automation will be available after August 2014. In order to receive products, component codes (ISBT eCodes) are to be added to the LIS database. For your convenience a list of the necessary codes that each customer needs to enter is attached. The document is also posted on our Medical/Technical website http://medical.oneblood.org/biologics/distribution/. Each transfusion service team needs to decide which codes are needed. If you have questions or need assistance please contact OneBlood Biologics Coordinator, Melissa Kuhn. She can be reached directly at 407.248.5459 or via email at Melissa.Kuhn@oneblood.org. We value our partnership and appreciate your support of our lifesaving mission. Sincerely, Alicia Bellido Prichard Senior Vice President, Biologics Alicia.Prichard@oneblood.org
