This annual lecture series has been designed to facilitate critical discussion on important social issues facing all Australians. In this year’s lecture, the issue of measuring progress beyond economic progress (GDP) will be raised. Tim Costello will argue that there is life beyond economic growth, and that we should gauge the progress of a nation using a combination of economic, social and environmental indicators.
