Multiplication allows you to do repeated addition quickly and efficiently. In a multiplication problem, the numbers are called factors, and the answer is called the product. It is best for students to memorize multiplication facts. Fact memorization will allow students to be successful in mathematics in all grade levels and across math genres such as geometry and money. There are several strategies that children can use when they are beginning to multiply.
