HCM 9.0 Summary of Release Changes Maintenance Pack 16.03
Documents listed below have been identified and scheduled for an update to support changes in this maintenance pack. Please note, only changes that impact the campuses’ ability to apply this maintenance pack and/or implement new functionality are updated with maintenance pack releases. Minor changes to documents are made according to the normal application upgrade cycle.
While every effort is made to release the new documents on the same day of the maintenance pack release, this is not always possible. In cases where the updates are pending, CMS will deactivate the link for the older version of the document on the CMS website to avoid downloading the improper version. The link will then be reactivated on the CMS website when the new update is posted.

To use the delivered Self Identification pages for Candidate Gateway, campus action is required to configure the OFCCP SelfIdentify option to “Disability and Veteran”.
CG/TAM
This setting only impacts Candidate Gateway.
VEVRAA & Section 503 -- Overview of changes:
EXTERNAL APPLICANTS – Candidate Gateway
There are two new self-identification pages that have been delivered for external applicants; the
Self-Identify Disability page and the Self-Identify Veteran page. External applicants access the Self-
Identify Disability page once he/she clicks the Submit button on the Complete Application page. By clicking Continue the applicant will then be taken to the Self-Identify Veteran page
INTERNAL APPLICANTS
– Candidate Gateway
Employee disability and veteran status information is stored in the HR system, the recruiting system does not collect this information from internal applicants. Instead, internal applicants who submit an application are reminded to use self-service pages to update their disability and veteran information.
This instructional text appears on the confirmation page that appears when an internal applicant submits an application. This message contains a link to the Self-Service Disability page and a link to

For both the TAM and HR Core administrator pages, there are a couple of known issues that Oracle has under review.
There is a disconnect in the Disability Section with the new Section 503 delivered in the Disability component. Administrators can make Disabled changes without impacting the new Disability Status.
For this reason, CMS recommends until a fix is posted, for administrators to update in this component using the Disability Status only. There is code around that selection which will set the Disabled flag appropriately:
The other disconnect has to do with updates made in TAM and the HR Core Disability components where the applicant or employee has previously self-identified using the Self Identification pages. As you know, data coming in through these self-identification pages will set the Disclosure Date and the
Electronic Signature. CMS has advised Oracle that we do not believe it to be a good business practice to allow changes to be made by an administrator to Disability without impact to the disclosure date and the electronic signature. It makes it appear as though the employee has updated the information themselves.
CMS recommends until a fix Is posted, to refer applicants and employees to update their information using the appropriate self-service pages.
After applying HR Bundle 26, it has been reported to Oracle that an issue in Position numbering exists for scenarios where users are adding new position numbers manually and also using the auto numbering in
Position Data.
Oracle has advised that there is an issue caused by inadequate coding in PeopleCode (Record):
POSITION_DATA.POSITION_NBR.SavePreChange
They have resolved it by posting Patch 20554435 which we will deliver to baseline in a future release.
In the meantime, we are advising campuses to assign position numbers using the auto-numbering process only. Do not allow users to manually update a position number until we are able to deliver the patch to our baseline.
In our testing of this issue, we noticed that when the position was manually set to the next available number, the POSN_NBR_LAST in the INSTALLATION record did not update upon the save.
If the next user used the auto position number to assign the next number the following results could be seen:

Issue Description
If the manual and auto assigned position number was the SAME effective date, the user would get a
Data Conflict error message and the new position number is not saved.
If the manual and auto assigned did not have the same effective date, the new effective date is inserted to the same position number and it resulted with two different positions appearing as a single position number.
Additional details about when we plan to deliver this Patch will be discussed in the Workforce
Administration Subcommittee calls.
