Abstract-- Epilepsy is a sudden brain disorder normally leads to a seizure which is abnormal or excessive
neural activities in the brain. [1], [54]. And the main causes of epilepsy are head injuries, genetic and
infections illnesses, mal development of the brain, brain tumors and lead poisoning; however the main
cause of epilepsy is unknown. [2]. In this review we are going to explain about epilepsy, seizure
detection, EEG, problem statement as well as reviewing and studying most of the methods that are used
in detecting epilepsy seizure. Furthermore, compare these methods in this survey to distinguish which
of them can provide the best service in epilepsy seizure detection.
