1. Paul Foster School of Medicine in El Paso puts emphasis on a student’s broad educational experiences.
2. Must include Biochemistry.
3. Three of the 14 required hours of Biology must be Biochemistry.
4. UTMB in Galveston recommends taking Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Genetics, A&P, Immunology, Dev. Bio., and Micro. before entering medical school.
5. Strongly encourages coursework in Biochemistry, Biostatistics, and Cell/Molecular Biology before entering medical school.
6. UTHSCSA and Texas Tech are the only schools that require Biochemistry but the other schools highly recommend pre-med students take this course.
7. UTMB will not accept writing course except from an English Dept.

Medical schools may extend offers of acceptance to Texas residents beginning November 15-Dec. 31. Applicant may hold multiple pre-match
offers from TMDSAS schools until January 15. All but one offer must be declined by that date. If applicant is sure that the school is a NO, then
student should release the position as soon as possible as a courtesy.
