ENG 4U Mrs. Junyk ENG 4U – Language Analysis and Literary Criticism Task CHOOSE - For this assignment you will be required to choose a particular “school/theory of criticism” and prepare a comprehensive ONLINE handout (can be in the form of tumblr posts, a pdf on wiki, etc) & brief presentation for your fellow classmates. EXPLAIN Your handout should explain the following: A definition of the theory, prominent scholars that contributed to that theory, any other essential information about the theory. APPLY - In addition to the handout, you will be assigned a piece of literature (poem, essay, short story) and will compile an analysis of it according to the school of criticism that you studied for your handout. You will present your findings in a brief visual presentation (A visual essay with explanation) and a terse paper (i.e. no longer than 2 pages typed).
