Current research interests
At the moment I’m focused on the study of the attraction/repellence of the olive
tree towards the olive fruit fly (Bactroceraoleae Rossi). Susceptibility of the olive
cultivars from Trás-os-Montes region to the attack of the olive fruit fly (physical,
chemical and molecular aspects).
Characterization of volatile fraction from olive products.Effect of technological
process on the chemical composition, bioactive properties, and stability of olive
oil.Characterization and composition of food products.
