The Meeting was called to order by the President, Annette Mohr at 6:40 P.M.

Minutes of Meeting held on Aug.31, 2015:

The Minutes of the meeting held on Aug. 31, 2015 were presented and accepted as read.

Treasurer’s report :

Jody reported that as of Sep.27, 2015 the balance in the checking account equaled

$13,251.78 and the book value of the Vanguard Book value = $45,206.22. Net income for September = $2,633.00.

Host Farm Insurance Certificates:

Denise reported that she had emailed Black Ridge again for their insurance certificate.

Endowments:

Jody reported that Diane Hatt was still in rehab at Valley View on Quarry Road.

Visitors would be appreciated.

Host Farms:

Denise mentioned that some Host Farm dues, as well as all membership dues, are still payable for the 2015 – 2016 season.

Jessica Smith at Saddle River Equestrian in Chestnut Ridge, (formerly Top of the

Line) attended the meeting, and expressed her interest in joining the WHVPHA as a

Host farm.

National PHA Finals Horse Show:

Jody reported that the names of eligible riders are now posted online and that entries are due by Oct. 8, 2015.

WHVPHA Finals Horse Show:

Final preparations were discussed for the horses how. All committee members reported their progress.

The following resolution was again confirmed:

Only one warm-up class per rider and horse combination will be allowed. Anyone who has already paid for an additional warm-up class will be refunded their $25 entry fee at the horse show.

Members voted unanimously to refund entry fees in full if any rider or horse has suffered an injury or illness and thus cannot compete because of same.

Ribbons will be awarded up to 10 th place.

A holding area within the ring will be set up for spectators.

Mary sent all host farms an email alerting then that every host farm must have a representative at the show to assist with set up on Saturday and take down on

Sunday, otherwise they will be fined $100 per day.

A suggestion was made to hold next year’s finals in November.

Database of Email addresses of all members:

Monica reported that David, the programmer for OrgPro, has extracted the email addresses for all WHVPHA members. Monica will download the file to Excel.

Points Keeping:

There was some discussion regarding the need for all host farms to adopt the Show

Pro program for their horse shows. A suggestion to provide a travelling computer for all host farms was tabled.

Banquet: November 8, 2015 at 5 P.M. at the Villa Venezia

Mary, Monica and Teri are in the process of planning the banquet. Mary reported that banquet tickets have been printed and will be available at the WHVPHA Finals

Horse Show. Tickets are $50 for adults and $35 for children.

Jody will have the sponsorship booklet printed.

Gary requested that everyone bring their door prizes to the Oct. 26 meeting.

Next meeting

The next meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 at Denise’s house at 6:30

P.M. This is being held one week earlier than normally scheduled in order to allow time to discuss final preparations for the WHVPHA Banquet.
