FIRE SAFETY HOUSE (Trailer)
Rules and Regulations:
Cost: (Sparky) is $25.00 per day. Fire Safety House $100.00 for the first day of use and $25.00 for each additional day of use.
Batteries replacement and recharge: The (9V) alkaline are supplied and must be replace by Fire Department or organization.
Otherwise a fee of $4.00 per batteries will be charge. 12V battery (Sparky) must be recharge by operator prior return of unit.
Operations: Sparky must be operated on hard, smooth, clean, dry surface such as concrete, asphalt. DO NOT operate on grass,
gravel etc. A portable fold out platform is available in the trailer.
Transportation (Sparky): Trailer is provided. Can be towed by a vehicle with a 2” towing ball or Reese hitch (ball supplied). No
trailer brake connection is required.
Towing capacity (Fire Safety House): Gross total weight of trailer is 6000 Lbs. Class 3 hitch; electric brake controls are required
for towing. The Towing ball and attachments are provided.
Insurance( Fire Safety House): The mutual Fire Aid association has insurance coverage on the FSH which includes a non-owned
auto insurance policy with a deductible payable by the borrowing department that can range up to $2500. We recommend that
arrangements are made with your insurance policy.
Training: It is mandatory to make arrangement with the members of the Life Safety Committee for proper training on the FSH
and Sparky.
Cleaning: It is the responsibility of the borrowing Fire Department or organization to wash and clean the FSH and Sparky prior
return date.
Survey: Fire Safety House user survey (provided FSH) required to be completed for each booking. Check log book in Kitchen
cupboard.
