Award Guidelines & Nomination Form
The Silver Lake College Alumni Association recognizes distinguished alumni for their outstanding
achievements of alumni and friends of Silver Lake College of the Holy Family within their family,
profession, church, community, and the College.
Distinguished Alumni Award
Qualifications: The recipient of this award must have set a standard of excellence in his or her chosen
field, must demonstrate significant professional achievement, and must have made contributions to
others through civic, humanitarian, or religious activities.

Outstanding Recent Alumni Award
Qualifications: This award is presented to an alumnus or alumna who has held their degree for ten
years or less and has distinguished him or herself through early excellence in their profession and
service to the community.

Alumni Award for Excellence in Servant Leadership
Qualifications: Presented to an alumnus or alumna who, either individually or through the work of a
group or organization, has shown forth excellence in servant leadership, who has applied the values
that come to the College community in the tradition of Saints Francis and Clare, and who has critically
and intentionally engaged the world by fostering a greater environment of mutual respect and
concern for persons.
